Problem Solved

Dear Phoenix,

I waited a long time for you to grow up. I even left for a while and came back to give you a second chance. Yet here I sit, staring at the same teenage boy with dusty knees and sticky fingers, just as broken and full of potential as the day we first met. I gave you my heart, my passion and my work. And you stole it. I tried and tried again, and again. I just can’t stand another heartbreak.

I can’t stand to watch you waste one more moment in this precious life.

So this is goodbye.

Goodbye palm trees. Goodbye orange blossoms. Goodbye mountains. Goodbye summer of ultimate hotness. Goodbye little bird. Goodbye succulents. Goodbye monsoon. Goodbye friends. Goodbye Phoenix.

I still love you–Chelsea
